Are your mornings too rushed to make a healthy breakfast? If you want to eat healthy, and save time, you can try making your breakfast the night before, and this recipe for overnight oats is easy and delicious! It’s also vegan, gluten-free too.
INGREDIENTS
- Organic oats
- Ground cinnamon
- Pure vanilla extract
- Flax seeds (or hemp seeds or chia seeds)
- Unsweetened shredded coconut
- Sliced almonds
- Almond milk (plain or vanilla – if using vanilla almond milk, then omit the pure vanilla extract)
- Greek yogurt
- Garnish with fresh berries, banana slices, plain Greek Yogurt
DIRECTIONS
- In a medium size bowl, mix the oats, yogurt, cinnamon, flax seeds, coconut and almonds
- Pour in the almond milk and add the yogurt
- Blend well
- Seal the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap
- Refrigerate (soak) overnight
- Garnish with your favorite ad-ins (such as fruit, honey, pure maple syrup, peanut butter and jelly or raisins)
