WholeHealth Chicago Riverwoods

We are thrilled to bring our services to a new location

We are a healthcare practice that strives to integrate the best of conventional and complementary medicine in a caring and healing environment. We believe that both health and disease are functions of physical, emotional, nutritional, and spiritual influences. Many health issues are rooted in a patient’s personal biography – the story of your life – and are most effectively treated by addressing root causes rather than symptoms alone.

Dr. Jerry P. Gore, MD

Dr. Gore received his medical degree at University of Illinois School of medicine, and then received his post graduate education at Northwestern University's Institute of psychiatry while also completing a 3 year program at the Gestalt Institute of Chicago. He then studied Yoga and Tai Chi and began an apprenticeship with Dr. Ballentine at the Center for Holistic Medicine at the Himalayan Institute, then in Glenview, Illinois, which was the first of its kind in the Midwest.

Changing our Perspective on Change

Can I please have some more pain and chaos?” Said nobody ever—but the truth is, any area of pain or chaos we may be experiencing is an attempt to alert us to what we need to change. The pain is saying to us, “hey you! I’m trying to get your attention here, because “this” isn’t working anymore, so can you please make some changes?!” Nobody likes pain and chaos, but there is a purpose and positive intention, which is to serve as a notification center that alerts us to what is no longer serving us.

Let’s Talk About Hormones!

Heading into Winter can feel bleak. We are getting less sunlight, and perhaps less exercise, than we have been accustomed to during warmer months. The cycles of seasons may also be mirrored in our own hormonal cycles, as suggested by data studied by The Weizmann Institute of Science (as reported on in Scientific American). Have […]

Energy Medicine
How Energy Medicine Can Help You

You’ve probably heard about various types of alternative health treatments — such as acupuncture, homeopathy, breathing techniques, yoga and others — that claim to solve many health problems, but you may not realize that often times these treatments help people heal by changing a person’s energy flow. But how exactly does changing someone’s energy help […]
